Be Comfortable on Your Wedding Day

With all of the chaos and butterflies that inevitably happen on your wedding day, it’s important to feel comfortable! You’re going to be standing and walking in front of family and guests, and aside from looking good, it’s just as important to feel good when it’s time to walk down the aisle. So here are a few tips to help you feel comfortable on your wedding day.

Break in Your Shoes

Nothing is more important than feeling comfortable in your shoes. Wedding days require a lot of standing (and don’t forget about all of that dancing afterward!). Choosing a pair of shoes that you can feel happy in all night long is essential. When you do find that special pair, spend at least a few weeks prior to the big day wearing them around the house to break them in.

Make Sure the Dress Fits

When it comes to the dress fitting, we all want to squeeze into that perfect dress and suck in anything we must in order to convince us that the size is doable. But when the reality of the wedding hits and you’re faced with sitting and consuming that catered meal, you want to be able to breathe in comfort. Don’t try and squeeze your way into something for the sake of feeling a little trimmer. Make sure the dress you put on will feel comfortable enough to move around in.

Remember to Eat

With all of the chaos of running around, getting your hair done, getting your makeup done and everything in between, it can be pretty easy to forget to eat. So before it’s time to walk down the aisle, don’t forget to fuel your body! Start off the day with a good breakfast and stash a few protein bars with your family if you need them throughout the day.

Bring a Shawl

Depending on the climate of where you live, have something on hand (that won’t throw off your outfit) is a good idea to keep you comfortable if the temperature dips or gets too warm. Having a wrap or shawl to throw over your shoulders is always wise, or place a little hand-held fan close by somewhere to keep you from melting if you’re getting married in the heat.

Although the wedding day is all about looking your best, it’s important to feel your best as well. Staying comfortable is key, and with a few of these tips, you can be sure to look great and feel great when it’s time to tie the knot.
